I am the author of 60 books for the school library market. I also worked as an editor in the industry for almost ten years. My goal is to be the kind of write-for-hire author I always called first–one who scrutinizes specs, delivers on deadline, and comes through on queries.

Many of my books have a science bent, but I also have a strong background in history topics, biography, pop culture, and language arts. With every title, I seek to engage a young reader’s natural curiosity. I am always looking for the odd fact, that great quote, or telling detail. Many of my picture books use word play, humor, or fiction techniques to captivate a child.
